When I was at school we used to refer to each year as a “Standard” not a Form, or Year or Grade (Grade is not a bad one mind you!)
The problem in today’s world is we have forgot the meaning of standards!
Too many people produce mediocre work or deliver just what is required as opposed to what was desired.
We have dropped our standards and just accept it as the norm.
This is rubbish!
If you not proud to put your name to it; don’t deliver it!
Stop dealing with suppliers that can’t get their shit together.
Stop accepting work from employees that just gets the job done.
Lets take back Standards and aim above them.
I’m probably not going to get schools to go back to using the terminology but I remember always aiming to be above the standard average grade and I still do so today!
