When do you let staff go?

This is a difficult topic as there are numerous factors that need to be known and taken into consideration.

So, remembering each situation and company is different, the general consideration here is :

If you lay a test or challenge and offer the team the choice to rise and do it or sit out.

Those that sit out are the ones that need to be let go.

This seems a very simple way of doing it – and maybe a bit too simple.

The thinking though however is that of agility.

A small, connected and always-switched on team is far more powerful and effective than a large, lazy or go-with-the-flow one.

Remember the Spartans and the “300”?

Size does not always matter.

Results, however, always do.
