We often talk about luck and skill or intelligence.
“You don’t have to be the smartest in the room – you have to be lucky…”
“I was lucky to be there at the right time…”
Heard these before?
Well here is a reality. We all are in the place we are supposed to be in at the time we are supposed to be there. It is the decisions we do, or don’t make that affect the outcome.
Don’t get me wrong, luck definitely affects or influences outcomes in life. But this is the same for everyone too.
It is the skills or personal traits that will make the difference.
Take formula one racing. The cars are the same, the track conditions are the same yet some drivers are just so much better than others.
This is their skill and their personal traits – nothing else.
So – to win at life you need to focus on and hone the skills and personal traits in your personal life. Ignore the playing field and the elements or obstacles in the way.
Your ability to make calm and collected decisions is what will set you up to win.
