This is not another “Keep Calm and Carry On” T-shirt in the making. This is important for any leader as it defies the biology of what makes us human.
When things get tough, and they do, we look to our leaders to steady the ship and guide us through. Some of you reading this are those leaders.
The fight or flight response is real and it affects us all. As leaders we only have one option. Stay and Fight.
Every business will faces challenges, some will seem insurmountable and others may be like vicious storms, quick and devastating.
Regardless of the situation as a leader you have to remain calm and collected and get the team and the business through it.
I have always used a trick of taking previous experience and reminding myself that at the time it seemed like the world was ending, but look, I’m still here and everything is fine.
