Yesterday I spoke about setting your expectations and then you will achieve them.
Today I want to continue with a similar phenomenon which involves your team and those around you.
If you set an expectation for others, the human trait of the self fulfilling prophecy comes into play!
They rise to meet these expectations too. So if you lead a team and even if they are average.
If you tell them that they are exceptional and that they show signs of above average skills. Guess what?
They will rise to the occasion.
Equally if you tell them they will amount to nothing or they hear you talking to other managers about being the bad bunch well you guessed it.
We have this ability to empower ourselves as well as those around us. Let’s all be positive and make those around us feel the positivity too.
