Increasing output

Sharing is caring!

Yesterday I chatted about how to stay or get focused and productive.

The problem that we have is that we are so easily distracted… oh look a squirell!

A trick that I do is to book an appointment with myself.

Yip me, myself and I.

Think about it.

When you are in a meeting or on a zoom call you don’t get distracted (excluding the boring monologue from Gary in HR).

You don’t tell the person you are seeing that you need to quickly watch a Tik Tok video or take a chat with someone on Whatsapp.

This is the secret to maximise output.

Book a time in the calendar and then pay yourself the same respect that you would give to a client or supplier in a meeting.

There are many skills or tools to help you with this.

Schedule a time with me and I will take you through some of these and the techniques I use to do it.

Remember – the metric is to measure the outputs based on the time you put in to achieve them.

Ask yourself: Are you are paying for outputs or the time spent on achieving these?

This is the best method of accountability.

Focus on results not the time spent to produce them.

If you suffer from Paraskevidekatriaphobia then book the whole day off today and sort out all the things you have been putting off.
