I heard my teenage son say the other day that he wanted to just push reset!
At first I thought this was an attention cry for help borne from the current lock-down situation and something that is not possible but then I sat down and thought about it a bit more.
Not only is it possible – but critical for our businesses.
The spring cleaning of every business should happen on a regular basis.
Look at every aspect of the business:
- Do you still want to sell the product or service?
- Is it still something that someone wants to buy?
- Do you have the right resources to continue to make and supply?
- Do you have the right team that can deliver?
- Is it still profitable?
As business owners or leaders we should be asking ourselves this at least once a quarter (not just spring)!
You should do this personally as well – introspection is the best way to ensure that others see what you want them to see not what they perceive they are seeing!
