Criticism is important when it comes to success.
Most of us seek approval in life. When you deal with subordinates they are always going to tell you that you are awesome and doing well.
Rather ask “what is wrong?” Instead of seeking praise – seek change.
As long as the criticism is constructive, it will go a long way to helping you improve and in improving – you win!
Sometimes it is best to actually ask your friend. They will normally give you an honest and fair answer – try it and see for yourself.
The most important thing to remember is that you asked! So, if you don’t like the feedback do not retaliate or get aggressive, this is as important as getting and taking action on the feedback.
We can only grow or get better if we don’t keep doing the same things wrong again and again.
