We can only control that which is physically directly in our control.
Sounds obvious but something we all get wrong.
If you are a golfer and you set up to hit the ball. Every single thing that happens in the swing is 100% in your control.
The moment you make impact and complete your follow through the flight of the ball, the landing and ultimately where it stops is not in your control. You may have a large influence in these stages but you can’t control them.
Wind, rain, slope and layout of the course is not in your control.
It’s the same in business. The development, output and delivery of your product or service is mostly in your control. Once it leaves your office/hands there is not much you can do about it and how it is used/consumed. The response and the sentiment as well as opinions of the customers are not in your control.
The lesson.
Focus 500% on what you can control and stop worrying about and trying to control that which you can’t. When you stop not only will you feel a huge pressure lift but you will now be in control and able to do and create that which needs to be done.
