If you want more, do more than what you get paid to do.
By doing more you will be noticed and as such, when the promotions come around, you will be top of mind.
The worst thing I have ever heard from an employee is “That’s not my job!”
It doesn’t matter if it is or isn’t – if you are asked to do it, or even better, volunteer to do it this is what puts you front and centre.
You see you can’t go to someone and say if you pay me more I will do “x”.
If you do more than you are supposed to you will be noticed.
Not only will you feel better by winning or being noticed but you will get what you deserve.
You can’t just believe you deserve or are entitled to something.
You need to work to earn so if you want to earn more …
