About

Having been an Entrepreneur my whole life I have realised that this is one of the hardest things you can do; its also one of the most rewarding too.

There are highs and lows and on days it will seem that its not worth it and you should rather go get a job, on other days you are on top of the world and you can’t imagine doing anything else!

Now before going and getting yourself checked to see if you are Bipolar, don’t because you’re not! This is normal and honestly it’s what makes an entrepreneur an entrepreneur.

You see anyone can study to become a professional, or go get a job and wait for instructions to perform that which is required of him or her (I am not suggesting that there isn’t a place for employees in the world, and honestly, they probably earning more than you are if you are only just starting, so no judgement here!)

But this is not about them, this is about US! This about staying up all night, crushing out proposals, getting pitch decks done and of course, wearing t-shirts and jeans to work! This is about the choices you have (or haven’t yet) made and the consequences thereof.

This is about saying – “Why have I not made money yet?” This is about wondering if you would be better off just getting a job and not continuing down this difficult path. This is about banging your head against a wall and loving and hating everything at the same time.

This is all these things and so much more.

But most importantly: This is about FAILING!

What! Wait! Who wants to read about Failure? Well , if you have experienced any of the above  then I hate to be the one to tell you this but you have FAILED! Failure has many different presentations and appears and manifests in many different ways.

Now what you do next is turn that around, its time to DELIAF – or to (literally) turn FAILED around.

If you havent figured out the Blog’s name by now then I’m sorry – I can’t spell this out anymore!

Anyway, back to the WHY!

I believe that one of the hardest things about being an Entrepreneur is the loneliness! I’m not suggesting everyone is on their own, actually quite the opposite – this is not about the social component or reference to loneliness but rather the time you have with yourself in your own mind!

You see in order to stay positive, always be glass half full and all the other motivational schtick – we have to do time in our own minds and this is easy when things are going well,  but not so easy when they aren’t!

We have all been there and it is one of the hardest things to deal with and probably one of the biggest reasons why we fail. In this modern world of instant gratification and always on mindset it is much easier to give up rather than push through!

But what if there was someone to talk to? I’m not talking about physically going out and talking to someone, I’m talking about ingesting small amounts of positive info – or maybe scenarios that others have experienced and even more importantly learnt from?

Well, I’m hoping that this is what DELIAF will be.

I will write a little thought down every day – what you chose to do with it is up to you – but these are thoughts/experiences that have helped me deal with me when I have felt a bit down or stressed or even worse; like a failure!

This is not a subscription course on better business, nor is it a “If you do this you will be a millionaire….just sign here and pay $$$$” – This is just me sharing what has (and sometimes hasn’t) worked for me when I have needed to sit down and have a good chat to myself.

This is about Turning Failed Around!

This is DELIAF!
